SHS Summer Office Schedule:

The Sherwood High School Main Office, Bookkeeping, and Counseling Center are closed for the summer beginning June 25 at 12:00 pm through August August 2.  Offices will reopen on Monday, August 5, 7:30 am.

Spring Musical - Newsies:

They delivered the papers, until they made the headlines... Newsies, the smash-hit, crowd-pleasing musical from Disney, will be playing at the Sherwood Center for the Arts. A two-time Tony Award®-winning show, Newsies has audiences and critics alike calling it “a musical worth singing about!” (The New York Times). Filled with one heart-pounding number after another, it’s a high-energy explosion of song and dance you don’t want to miss.  
Now is the time to seize the day with Newsies, playing April 4-6 and 11-13, 2019 at 7:00 pm at the Sherwood Center for the Arts in Sherwood (NOT at the high school PAC).  Due to the popularity of the show we expect to sell out, so get your tickets now!  Adult tickets are $12 each, senior and student tickets are $10 each with an opening night special ticket price of $5 for students only!  Tickets can be purchased at the high school from Debi Bear or on-line at the following link:  http://bowmentheatre.com/tickets/

Sherwood Schools will be closed today, February 27th, due to inclement weather conditions.

2-hour Delay-February 25:

Monday, February 25, Sherwood Schools will be on a two hour delay start schedule.  We will continue to monitor weather conditions and provide updates if changes occur.

2-Hour Delay - February 5:

Broadway Bits:

Broadway Bits
 is an exciting show of Broadway songs performed by Sherwood High Choir students. Vote for your favorite acts and help the students raise money for the choir. Due to popular demand, this year the show will have TWO performances: Thursday, January 31st and Friday, February 1st at 7:00pm in the Performing Arts Center of Sherwood High School. Each ticket to the show comes with 5 vote tickets. Additional vote tickets will be sold at the show for $1 each.  While an Audience Choice award will be presented both nights, awards from our judges will only be presented at Friday night's performance.  
Due to the popularity of this show, we expect to sell out. Get your tickets now!  Adult tickets are $10 each, senior and student tickets are $7 each.  Tickets can be purchased at the high school from Debi Bear or on-line at the following link: http://bowmentheatre.com/tickets/

Trimester 2 Parent-Teacher Conferences:

Sherwood High School's second trimester Parent/Teacher Conferences will be on Monday, January 28, 2019 from 4:30-7:30 pm in the Commons and in the Media Center Lobby (the area in front of the Media Center.   Math & Spanish teachers will be stationed there).   Attached is a conference layout map.  

These conferences are designed to be a quick check-in (less than 3 minutes) between teachers and parents. If more time is needed, an appointment should be made with the teacher for a later date to follow-up in more depth. 

Fall Play - Radium Girls

In 1926, radium was a miracle cure, Madame Curie an international celebrity, and luminous watches the latest rage - until the girls who painted them began to fall ill with a mysterious disease.  Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court.  Radium Girls is a fast-paced snapshot of what happens when the American dream bumps up against the realities of health, wealth, and big business.  Performances are on November 8th at 7:30pmNovember 9th at 7:30pmNovember 10th at 2:30pm and November 10th at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the high school from Debi Bear or at the following link:  http://bowmentheatre.com/tickets/   Adult tickets are $10 each, senior and student tickets are $8 each.  However, for the Thursday and Saturday matinee performances only, student tickets are only $5!
