Sherwood High School would like to congratulate senior students Jacob Brooks and Keatley Pihl for being selected as finalists in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship competition.  Students were selected in September as semi-finalists based on their outstanding scores on the PSAT test.  Approximately 15,000 students, nationwide, were selected as finalists.  Of the 15,000 finalists, 8300 will become Merit Scholarship winners.

Brooks and Pihl have also been named as candidates for the 2013 United States Presidential Scholars Program.  This candidacy is based on their outstanding performance on either the ACT or SAT.  There are approximately 3000 candidates out of nearly 3.2 million graduating high school seniors this year.

Sherwood High School is very proud of these students and wishes them the best of luck in these competitions.
