September 11, 2020
Dear Bowmen Family,
I sincerely hope that you are all well. The devastation the fires are causing in our area is far-reaching and undoubtedly has impacted many of you. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
We will continue to walk together through this time, which is something that I am truly grateful for.
Be Safe and Well,
The First Day of School
The first day of school is Monday, September 14th. Students need to login to their Canvas account and access their first period course at 9am on the 14th.
To access instruction:
- Login to their Canvas accounts
- Select their 1st period course
- Click the zoom link that is on the Homepage for that course.

Materials Distribution Part Two
For those who were unable to pick up materials so far, below is the plan for us moving forward:
Monday (9/14) and Tuesday (9/15), 3pm-7pm
*We will follow the same schedule on Tuesday.
Week One Homeroom
In order to allow for phone calls and connection with families and students, we will not be meeting in Homerooms next week. Instead, please expect that students/families will hear from their Homeroom teacher who will identify what time homeroom/lunch is for each student/family.
If students are unable to attend a class during the synchronous, please report their absence to our Attendance Line 503-825-6010.
Attention Photo II Students
During our Back to School Drive-Thru distribution, Photo II students should have received a camera kit including a tripod, equipment rental agreement, and a few other materials.
You are responsible for any photography equipment checked out for the quarter. Please be sure to go over the equipment rental agreement thoroughly. The agreement requires both a student as well as parent signature.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Parent Support Organization
With all the transitions over the past year, our SHS parent group (formerly Parent Advisory Council – PAC) took a close look at who we are and how we support our school. We decided to make the change to Parent Support Organization (PSO) because we feel it better reflects what we do as a group. Our goal is to support the Sherwood High School students, staff, and community in a variety of ways. Different name, same great mission!
