School Board Recognition Month
January is School Board Recognition Month! Eric Campbell, Pat Allen, Jessica Adamson, Sue Hekker, and Michael Hiland make up the Sherwood School District’s Board of Directors. These parents and community members volunteer countless hours each month guiding the direction and policies of our District, helping to ensure it is a great place for all kids. If you see a School Board member this month, please take a moment to thank them for their service.
Red Cross Emergency Preparedness Kit Fundraiser
Our very own Red Cross Club is hosting a Preparedness Item Drive! It’ll start on Monday the 11th and run until Friday the 15th, and they’ll be accepting a long list of first aid & sanitary items, such as: Hand Sanitizer Disposable or cloth masks Gloves Batteries Matches Soap Wet wipes Diapers Feminine products, such as pads and tampons Bandaids, gauze dressing, and antiseptic solution Drop off your items in front of Sherwood High School to show your support for our club and for the families of Sherwood who need it most.

FAFSA/ORSAA Workshops
Attention Seniors! The Career Center will be offering multiple workshops on the FAFSA/ORSAA process at different times to ensure that everybody can find a time that works for them. Each session will be with a local representative and expert in FAFSA/ORSAA. Whether you’ve already filed your FAFSA/ORSAA or not, this is a great chance to come learn more about the in’s and out’s, and answer any questions you may have. Keep an eye out for an upcoming email with Zoom links.

Come learn about the Hillsboro School to Career program from their director, Heather Ferrin-Myers. Blood Drive
BOWMEN, WE NEED YOU! Sherwood High School is partnering with the American Red Cross to save lives! Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. It is essential for surgeries, cancer treatment, chronic illnesses, and traumatic injuries. You can potentially save 3 lives with your generous blood donation. Be a Hero on Tuesday, February 23rd and donate blood!
Covid-19 Protocols:
CDC, FDA, Surgeon General & Governor Brown encourage people, who are well, to donate blood. Strict COVID-19 Protocols have been implemented to keep everyone safe. Temperature pre-screen, masks, social distancing, additional sanitizing throughout the blood drive. In addition, all donations are tested for COVID-19 antibodies.
