The message today is a little bit longer than normal (my apologies), but does contain some important information about our return to in-person instruction, spectators at athletic events and an acknowledgement of our community and we have navigated a challenging situation. Spectators at Athletic Competitions- March 19th Update
After yet another shift in OSAA/OHA guidance, we are moving forward with again expanding our spectator capacity at athletic events. This will include the addition of more tickets per athlete/participant at all events as well as welcoming a limited number of student spectators to each outdoor competition. Please note, we are still unable to accommodate spectators from visiting teams and community members at this time.

- Beginning on Friday, March 19th, the following is our plan for spectators:
- Each athlete/participant will be allowed four spectators per competition/performance
- Families do not need to sign-up/register in advance in order to attend a competition
- Upon arrival, please check in with the event monitor at either the Main Entrance (for volleyball) or the Lower Ticket Gate (for soccer, cross country, and football). Also, in order to expedite the check-in process, please make sure that all four spectators arrive at the same time.
- Please adhere to all protocols including only attending a competition/performance if you are symptom free, wearing a face-covering and practicing social distancing guidelines.
*For our home football game next week (3/26), we can only accommodate 250 student spectators. If you are a student interested in attending the game, please complete this Football Ticket Lottery Form by 12pm on Thursday, March 25th.
We have decided on our calendar of exams. This calendar was decided based on student input, teacher input, AP requirements, and additional graduation requirements. We have the space available for safe, in person exams – following all Oregon COVID protocols. Those are still changing so we cannot give you specific information on the location just yet.
Every exam (except Spanish) has a digital, at home option – this is called the 3rd administration. Any student not comfortable with an in person exam can opt for the 3rd administration. I need to be contacted directly if that is their choice. Also, any student who chooses Cloud Campus also has the option to take the exam in person if they would like. I will be sending out a bulk email to parents and students with more detailed information.

Sherwood HS Track and Field 2021
“Stay ready so you don’t have to get ready”.
- The OSAA spring track and field season will start on April 5th. All athletes will need to be registered and cleared before Friday, April 2nd.
- All athletes will have to have a current physical. Physicals are good for two years. Here is a link to the physical form the doctor will need to fill out. The form needs to be turned in to or emailed to Connie Pollock (email@example.com ).
- The season fee is $100 and will need to be paid by April 12th.
- Meets will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting April 14th with a district meet in late May. Schedules are not available at this point.

In-Person Office Hours
We are excited to offer In-Person Office Hours! This in-person opportunity is open to any student who would like to come on campus to work with teachers in specific content areas.
In-person office hours will be Monday – Thursday, 3:00 – 3:45pm.

Band Boosters Host Annual Swingin’ the Green Event – 4/1 & 4/8
The Sherwood Band Boosters will be hosting our Annual Swingin’ the Green fundraising auction and event virtually on April 8th.
Our silent auction will open for bidding on Thursday, April 1st, with the full event on Thursday, April 8th at 7:00pm, including live auctions, paddle raises, and student performances.
