Dear Bowmen Community,
As you probably know, this morning our internet and phones were down. It was completely out of our control and yet, honestly, this morning ended up being one of the best mornings we’ve had in almost a year. Our Mixolydians did an impromptu performance for our staff and a group of teachers and staff welcomed students with a dance party and music as they came into the building. And for a few brief moments, this morning just felt normal. To hear laughter and music and to see the smiles (in the eyes of course because we all had masks on) was so very special and it reminded me yet again of how thankful I am for each of you. I hope you have a wonderful, long weekend and I look forward to seeing you and experiencing a little bit of “normal” very soon!
With 3 weeks remaining in the school year, please note that the weekly schedule will look a little different each week. You can view the schedule here.
Monday 5/31 – No School (Holiday)
Tuesday 6/1 – Cohort 1 in-person
Wednesday 6/2 – Cohort 2 in-person
Thursday 6/3 – Cohort 1 in-person
Friday 6/4 – Cohort 2 in-person

At Home Digital AP Exams Begin / Refunds
The in-person, class AP exams have been completed! Next week begins the at-home digital exams. These exams are not covered in class and my only means of communication is email so your student has been receiving and will continue to receive important emails regarding these exams.
Each student needs to do a general “digital testing setup” (once) and an additional specific exam setup for each exam. This MUST be done before exam day or they will not be able to take the exam. Everything they need is already on their school chromebook. They also have the option to download the necessary app to a different computer but it must be the computer they plan to test on. Here is a link with more detail:
The digital testing schedule is:
June 1 – AP English – exam begins at 9am.
June 2 – AP Euro/APUSH – exams begin at 9am
June 9 – AP Calc – exam begins at 9am / AP Physics 1 – exam begins at 1pm
June 10 – AP Chem – exam begins at 9am / AP Physics 2 – exam begins at 1pm
June 11 – AP Bio – exam begins at 9am
If your student is signed up for the June digital exam but is not planning on taking it, I need to know in order to issue a refund. This is especially important for seniors as the last exam is June 11th.
Feel free to contact Becky Farwell with any questions or concerns.

Junior Parents, we need your HELP! It’s time to help the 2021 graduation committee with check-in for the Grad Night Party. This is a pay-it forward event, next year the 2023 grad group will do the same for us. They need 15 volunteers and it will be Friday, June 11th 8-10pm @ the high school. If you are able to help please click here.
We also are looking for someone who is willing to help house our monthly Can and Bottle Drive for the months of June and July. We are wondering if there is anyone that has a shed or a large garage that can store the bags of cans/bottles for about 2 weeks. If this is something that you can help with please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org! Thank you!
