Hello Bowmen Community,

Phew.  We made it.  “Thank you” just doesn’t seem like enough in situations like these, but it’s the best I’ve got.  I hope you each have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you in September!

Weekly Activities for June 14-18

Summer Hours and Information

The SHS Office will be closed 6/25-8/9. Please refer to the high school website for updates and important information.  The District Office will remain open 8:00am-4:00pm over the summer. For information regarding online enrollment click here.

SHS Quarter 4 Finals’ Schedule

During finals week (June 14th-16th), the school day has been shortened to half days from 9:00am-11:05am, with all students attending each class one last time as follows:

  • Students in Cohort 3 will attend finals with the cohort that aligns with their last name:
    • Cohort 1: Last Names A-K
    • Cohort 2: Last Names L-Z
  • Students NOT scheduled for finals do not have class, but may be assigned asynchronous work on those days by their individual teachers
  • Cloud Campus students will take their finals from zoom.
  • There is no homeroom during finals week. The last day of homeroom will be Thursday, June 10. 
  • Lunch will be available for students to pick-up and take home on each half day at dismissal. 

2021 Yearbook

2021 Yearbooks are under production and will arrive over the summer. Students will be contacted when they are available for pickup.

Preordering a yearbook will guarantee your student receives one; during distribution extra books will be sold on a first come, first serve basis. Yearbooks can be purchased through the school bookkeeper, or on ParentVue under optional fees at checkout.

Meal Pick Up After Finals

Nutrition Services will provide meal bags to pick up after finals June 14th to June 17th. Meal bags can be picked up outside the front entrance, forest wing hallway and in the Commons.

Cross Country Informational Meeting

There will be a Cross Country informational meeting in the Commons next Monday the 14th and Tuesday the 15th at 11:15. If you are a returning athlete or interested in joining the team, please plan on attending one of the meetings. If you are unable to make one of the meetings, please stop by Coach Stammers office in the Counseling Center for more information.

Sherwood Athletic Booster Club

The Sherwood Athletic Booster Club’s mission is to promote athletic excellence, a positive community image, and competitive programs by providing financial assistance and support to our student-athletes, coaching staff and athletic department through our fundraising and community donation programs.

Open positions offer a variety of skill sets and hour commitment, they include: Concessions, Stadium Seats, Treasurer, Auction, Stadium Seats, Scholarships and Drive 4or School. Join Our Colorguard!

Those interested in participating in our Fall 2021 Marching Band & Colorguard, This is a reminder to get your registration accomplished by Monday, June 14. Thank you for joining me on Monday, it was wonderful to see you all. I am so excited to get this next chapter of our musical lives started together.
