We are excited to begin the transition process to Sherwood High School for our current 8th grade students! Please see below for two pieces of important information.
Incoming Freshman Night: Sherwood High School would like to invite the Class of 2028 and their parents/guardians to our annual Incoming Freshman Information Night on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. This is an opportunity for students and parents to meet some of our amazing staff members, learn more about Sherwood High School, receive more information regarding Course Selection, and tour our beautiful campus. Sherwood High School has two parking lots – one directly in front of the building and another upper lot above the main campus entrance. If you park in the upper lot, please walk down to the main front entrance located closest to Haide Road. We look forward to meeting everyone and helping to start on the road to high school success!
Course Selection: On Wednesday, February 21st, our Sherwood High School administrators and counselors will present some general high school and course selection information to students. On Thursday, February 22nd, our administrators and counselors will visit your students’ social studies class to present more detailed information, begin entering selected courses, and answer any questions that arise. The information shared with students on these days will be extremely helpful in knowing more about the high school, as well as navigating the course selection process. We will share all of the information with parents through the SMS newsletter on Friday, February 23rd.
Our Academic Planning Guide is your source for information regarding practices and policies at Sherwood High School, as well as information about all of our courses. Additionally, the 9th Grade Course Selection Worksheet will help to guide you through the freshman year requirements.
The Course Selection window will open on Thursday, February 22nd, and close at the end of the day on Monday, March 4th.
***Super helpful hint!! – Write both the name of the course and the course number on the worksheet, it will help you enter courses into Synergy more quickly!
