New Member Selection Application
Monthly Meeting Attendance:
Members are expected to be on time to all monthly meetings. The only excused absences are for members with a pre-arranged absence through the school. Members must notify the advisors prior to the meeting of their absence.
- Any members with an excused absence are required to review the meeting slideshow posted in Canvas.
- An unexcused absence will result in an infraction.
- Two late arrivals lead to an infraction.
Maintaining Membership:
Members must complete the following requirements to maintain membership:
- Maintain a minimum unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Be enrolled in at least 4 SHS academic classes (earns a letter grade) each trimester.
- Continue to exemplify and promote positive behavior and leadership.
- Contribute to the community by completing 35 hours of individual community service prior to Thursday, May 14, 2027.
- Pay a $20 membership fee that goes towards NHS t-shirts, events, and materials.
- Attend a minimum of 2/6 officer-led service activities per year.
- Attend monthly meetings.
